Rod, a young Parisian of Guyanese origin, decides to return to Guiana, his native country. He is accompanied by Gonz, his childhood lifelong friend and by Yann, a young tourist guide and ecological activist. In Cayenne, they begin an investigation into Rod's past. They find themselves in the middle of the virgin Amazonian forest. Soon they get caught up in a spiral of shady dealings, in the hostile and archaic environment of the camps of illegal gold prospectors.
